CryoWave Body Contouring™
CryoWave Body Contouring™ is a non-surgical body treatment using 2.45 GHz energy and a choice of three handpieces. It is included in our Butterfly Triple-Modality Body Sculpting™ treatments for the arms, legs, and stomach. A complimentary consultation helps determine whether it is appropriate for your goals.
What Is CryoWave Body Contouring™?
CryoWave is the name we use for the energy-based body contouring treatment included in Butterfly Triple-Modality Body Sculpting™. Its role in the customized treatment is to support body contouring and improvements in the appearance of the treated area.
The combined treatment is designed to support firmer-looking skin, improved skin texture, and a smoother appearance. The appropriate approach depends on your treatment area, skin, and individual concerns. Results are not guaranteed.
What Does 2.45 GHz Mean?
GHz stands for gigahertz, a measure of frequency. At 2.45 GHz, the electromagnetic energy is in the microwave range. The frequency describes the energy used; it is not a measure of the treatment's strength or a promise of a particular result.
Energy delivery also depends on the handpiece, device settings, treatment technique, and the tissue being treated. Frequency alone does not establish how deeply energy travels or how selectively it affects a particular tissue.
Why Are There Three Handpieces?
The system offers three handpieces so the treatment approach can be selected for the area being addressed. Your consultation is the opportunity to discuss which handpiece and treatment approach are suitable for your concerns.
The three CryoWave handpieces are different from the three modalities in Butterfly Triple-Modality Body Sculpting™: CryoWave is one modality within that combined treatment.
Skin Cooling and Treatment Comfort
Surface cooling is intended to help maintain skin comfort while energy is delivered. Cooling does not mean that every treatment will feel the same, or that discomfort and skin reactions cannot occur.
Comfort, skin response, and recovery vary by individual and by the treatments included in your plan. Ask about the expected sensations, potential risks, and aftercare before proceeding. Tell your treatment provider promptly if you experience discomfort.
CryoWave Within Butterfly Triple-Modality Body Sculpting™
Each option combines:
- CryoWave Body Contouring™
- RF Microneedling
- Microneedling with Human Fibroblast Growth Factor Skin Solution
The current combined-treatment options are Arms — $3,000, Legs — $4,000, and Stomach — $3,500. These prices are for the triple-modality treatment, not for CryoWave alone.
For the legs, the customized approach also addresses skin texture and the appearance of cellulite. Suitability and expected improvement depend on the individual; no specific degree of change is promised.

A complimentary consultation is required before treatment. Discuss your goals, medical history, current medications, prior procedures, and any implanted devices with your provider so they can assess suitability and explain the relevant precautions.
Your consultation should cover what the treatment can reasonably achieve, its limitations, potential side effects, and the aftercare for all modalities in your plan. Body contouring is not a substitute for weight management.
